Banana Bread Recipe

Go back to HOMEPAGE

Yum!

This is a great recipe for when you accidentally buy bulk bananas at Costco and can't handle all the potassium at once. When they ripen to an inedible state, it's the perfect time to make delcious banana bread!

Welcome to the boring part of all recipe pages where I tell you an unecessary story about how I found this recipe. It was a sunny day in June. The birds were chirping, my bananas were browning. I looked up a video of how to make banana bread and this was the first result. Now you can enjoy it too. To see the original recipe click here.

This is my 3rd paragraph of text so I can pass this class. Enjoy.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or coat with nonstick spray.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the butter and brown sugar together until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the mashed bananas, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Slowly beat the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until no flour pockets remain. Do not overmix. Fold in the nuts and chocolate, if using.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 60-65 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool completely in the pan set on a wire rack.
